Spain climate zones



There are five sub-climates in Spain:

The northwest of Spain has an oceanic climate. The temperature is mild in summer and it's cool in winter. There is a lot of precipitation all year.

The center of Spain has a continental climate. The temperature is very high in summer and very low in winter. There's little precipitation, but there can be storms in summer.

The northeast of Spain has a mountain climate. It's cool in summer and the temperature is very low in winter. There is a lot of precipitation all year, and it usually falls as snow in winter.

The south of Spain has a Mediterranean climate. The temperature is high in summer and it's mild during other seasons. There can be a lot of precipitation in autumn, but there's little precipitation in other seasons.

Islas Canarias have a sub-tropical climate. The temperature is high in summer and this changes little during other seasons. There's very little precipitation.
